Our surf instructors are from Kauai and are big wave riders and many are competitive surfers. They know how to make sure your experience is fun while you accomplish your goal of learning to surf. All our surf lessons include top of the line surf boards and leashes and custom rash guards.

My 9 yr old daughter and I took a group lesson. What an awesome time! The entire staff (family really) was super friendly and helpful. The lesson included board rental, rash guard, and shuttle to/from the beach (in an awesome old Austrian jeep – so cool!). All we had to do was show up and smile. I haven’t been on my snowboard in 20 yrs, and my daughter has never been on any board ever, but our instructor had us up and riding waves before the lesson was over. It doesn’t hurt that Hanalei Bay is one of the prettiest places on Kauai (if not earth!). And it’s a great place for beginners with a shallow sandy bottom. You must surf while in Hawaii (because one MUST!). And if you’ve never surfed this is the way to go!

A Must Do!!! We were a little apprehensive about trying surfing for the first time at 56 & 55, but our 21 year old daughter said we couldn’t go to Hawaii and not try surfing! She was right!! We had the best time! Hubby rode the first wave! Jeff loved it, as did our daughter, Jessica. I finally got up on my last couple of try’s…BUT…the best part were our instructors! They were both so kind and encouraging!! They made this experience a dream of a lifetime! Thank you from the Bell’s in Tennessee! We also enjoyed their recommendation of the Steakadilla’s we had for lunch! Mahalo!

Amazing instructor and very easy process for surfing lessons! We had some other plans fall through and decided to sign-up for surfing lessons on the same day. We called in the morning and they were able to get us out on the water with a great instructor by 10am. Ask for Tapu - he was great and helped us learn the basics and gave us some tips for when we rent our our gear in the future. 10/10 would recommend and do this again!

We did a beginner course for two. We started right away in the morning when the beach and the water weren't too crowded. Our trainer took his time and was very patient. He gave us important tips that not only concerned surfing itself, but also falling and paddling, as well as dodging oncoming waves. He was also very friendly and cool, including casual small talk. All in all we can highly recommend the school.
